PEOPLE STRATEGY & DEVELOPMENT FOR THE TRADES & CONSTRUCTION

Built For The Field.

Designed For The People Who Lead It.

Jen Cáceres has spent over a decade working inside and alongside construction and tradespeople - leading HR, Talent Acquisition and Learning & Development teams that served both field and office. She knows construction from the inside, and brings that context to every leader, team and organization she works with.

Your Leaders Are Good at Their Jobs.

That’s Exactly the Problem.

In trades and construction, people get promoted because they’re excellent - the best in the field, the most reliable PM, the one who just figures it out. But technical mastery doesn’t automatically translate to leadership capacity. Oftentimes these things impact safety and engagement, causing high turnover and lost time. Here’s what I see most often:

The Expert Who Can’t Let Go

Promoted for being the best on the tools or in the field — now they're managing people but still doing the work themselves. Their team isn't growing because they won't step back. Delegation feels scary because they don’t trust their team to do things right, and the team knows it. Respect is being lost.

The Company That’s Scaled Its Problems

Revenue has grown. The team is bigger. but the communication breakdowns, high turnover and “we’ve always done it this way” thinking have scaled right alongside it. Growth is stunted and egos of “lifers” are sometimes out of control due to resisting change and their leaders avoiding crucial conversations.

The Manager Who Has Lost The Room

Going from peer to manager requires self-awareness, confidence and the ability to earn and keep respect. This person struggles to navigate conflict and communicate with authority - their title changed but they’re struggling in a real way leading people.

The Crew That Can’t Transition

Legacy leaders who built the company from the ground up - and emerging leaders who don’t yet know how to step into that space. The gap between them is costing you a lot. Generational differences are killing your culture and crews, but no one knows how to make things work.

The Leader Who Controls and Commands, Not Coaches

Strong operator, but struggling with trust. Their crew delivers when watched over, but ownership, initiative and culture suffer when they’re on-site versus off. This leader does things the way they were taught and isn’t stepping into the needs of the next generation.

The Culture Problem No One Names

High performers leave. Conflicts simmer. Meetings go nowhere. Everyone knows something is “off” - but no one has the language or space to address it directly. You’re wasting a lot of time and money on HR initiatives but inside fixes aren’t working.

THE PERPETUAL CAPACITY APPROACH

Not Another Training Program.

A Different Kind of Work.

Industry-First Language - No corporate jargon. I speak the language of field operations, dispatch, project management and job sites. Your leaders feel seen, not talked down to.

The Outgrowing Framework™ - My proprietary approach identifies what leaders have outgrown - and habits, identities and ways of operating - so they can lead from who they’ve become.

Measurable Engagement Shifts - I track real outcomes, communication quality, decision-making clarity, team autonomy, and retention - not just feedback scores or box-checking.

Built Around Your Culture - Every single engagement is customized. I study your org, your people, and your specific friction points before designing anything.

Legacy + Emerging Leaders Together - I design programs that bridge the gap between those who built the company and those who will carry it forward.

CliftonStrengths-Based Development - I am a Gallup-certified Strengths coach. We build on what your people are already great at instead of fixing what’s “wrong” with them.

Your Leadership Development Should Be Too.

This Industry is Unlike Any Other.

BUILT FOR THIS INDUSTRY

Construction and trades move fast, carry real risk, and demand leadership that can hold complexity - tight timelines, crew dynamics, client pressure, and safety - all at once. Generic leadership programs aren't built for that.

I build programs that are.

I've spent the majority of my career working with construction, building materials, and trades organizations — leading HR, Talent Acquisition, and Learning & Development. I’ve been in and around the workforce and it’s where I feel most at home. I know what the culture sounds like, what keeps frontline managers, foremen, supers and the top of the org up at night, and why the "people problems" are usually systems problems in disguise.

What makes working with me different?

I'm not a consultant parachuting through the doors or onto your job site with a generic toolkit. I've experienced the trailers, been in those rooms, navigated the workforce issues, and coached leaders - from the guys driving the water trucks to field supervisors, up to C-suite executives.

I've ridden in concrete trucks alongside drivers, shadowed Sales teams, trained Dispatch and spoken at industry events — including with NAWIC (National Association of Women in Construction), where I've had the privilege of working with and supporting women building careers across the trades, too. I bring the content of every firsthand experience I’ve had to each team I work with. I am also very aware that there’s no other company or team just like yours.

My approach isn’t about adding new tools to your leaders’ beliefs. It starts with a different question. What have you outgrown? Because the habits, identities and ways of operating that got your crews here may be exactly what’s keeping them - and your company - from the next level.

That’s where real growth happens.

10+ Yrs.

Inside construction & trades culture. Thick skin and a big heart for people doing hard work.

Kind Candor

Growth requires hearing the truth — and the truth lands differently when it comes with genuine care. I don't sugarcoat what I see, and I don't deliver it with an edge either. You'll get honest observations, real conversation, and feedback that's designed to move you forward — growth happens when we get uncomfortable.

Certified

I believe in earning certifications for a purpose, not vanity. Over my career I’ve coached hundreds of leaders and teams by blending my field experience with the classroom time needed to be the very best coach and partner you can find in the industry.
