About Me:
Intentional Pause is the Key to Clarity - and to Authentic Leadership
I was labeled a high-performer. A fixer. A strategist in steel-toes one day, heels the next.
As a Certified Executive Coach in HR, I climbed the corporate ladder in construction with intensity and pride, leading initiatives like frontline management training, leadership development, engagement surveys and healthy change, and strategic workforce planning.
I got my start in a high-volume manufacturing plant learning operations many years earlier. Later, after some time in non-profits and teaching, I stepped into construction, where I immersed myself in cementitious products, project cycles, and the daily grind of leadership in construction. Eventually, I grew into higher roles and moved into designing learning & development programs and coaching executives across business units. I became the Sr. Manager of Learning & Development and and began deeper initiatives around employee engagement, succession planning and building a Strengths-based organization with true leadership development.
For nearly a decade, I worked where most leadership coaches haven’t:
✔️ Side by side with dispatch, coaching the chaos and competing priorities
✔️ Coaching front line managers and creating leadership development for construction
✔️ On dusty job sites, building trust with frontline crews
✔️ Coaching mid-level and executive leaders in operations and decision-making
✔️ Panels and Keynote speaking at executive forums, helping leaders bridge the disconnect between the office and the field
Then Came a Pause.
In 2023, I stepped away to care for a family member - and for the first time in years, I truly stopped. No meetings. No metrics. Just space. And in that space, I realized:
We’ve outgrown the way we do business. The impact we’re having on our people, and processes is being lost in the minutia of busyness.
We’re chasing initiatives instead of impact. Touting buzzwords over behavior change. And burning out the very people we rely on to build our businesses.
Mid-level leaders are expected to carry it all - translating directives, managing chaos, and holding culture together within their teams if they’re lucky.
Executives sometimes present more than others, seem disconnected from the rest of the org to some, and HR with their procedures, checklists and overwhelming “overdue” emails leave people wanting less and less of the corporate push.
I get it. I’ve lived it. And I help fix it.
Today, I coach, speak, and lead workshops that help construction and manufacturing leaders:
✔️ Lead through change with confidence - for intentional growth
✔️ Rebuild trust, culture, and communication from the inside out
✔️ Build teams in strengths and what drives them, managing what gets in their way
✔️ Create benches and healthy succession planning for the next generation of talent
✔️ Discover what they've outgrown, and what has outgrown them
My work is rooted in real experience, not theory. It’s built on the belief that transformation doesn’t happen in binders, dashboards or hours of online coursework - it happens when people are honest, clear, and courageous enough to reflect - and grow.
Leadership in our industry is overdue for a remodel. Let’s build something better.
Here’s what you’ll get when you work with me:
Intentionality. I’m not here to convince you need something or sell you any service. I’m here to empower you to figure out exactly what you need while I support along the way.
Kind candor. I’ll tell you what I see, what I don’t see, and work with you so that you can too. Sometimes our vision is weakest with the things right in front of us.
Reflective, deep questions. Coaching is all about empowering YOU. The answers you seek are already within you. I help “nudge” ah-ha moments to fruition.
A partnership. My goal is to partner with you to live and work at your very best. (Your Perpetual Capacity)
Clear, confidential communication. Along with candor, the best way to support you is to communicate clearly, attentively and in confidence.
People results. Your business improves when people are a healthier version of themselves. If you’re a top leader, we’ll be starting with you.
Growth. This means you’ll have to encounter change, but we’ll approach it from a healthy place with a clear, strategized approach. You can’t have growth without change.
Here’s who’s coming to work with you:
A bi-lingual (Spanish) traveler, having started my journeys to Mexico at age 14. I’ve climbed Machu Picchu and stood in awe of the Urubamba River Valley in Peru. I’ve also been fortunate to trek through Turkey’s Izmir, Istanbul and Kusadasi, and work missions in rural Dominican Republic. I now call Colorado my home and enjoy the Rocky Mountains.
A lover of diversity. Diversity of people, culture and thought. I believe everyone adds value unless they’re sucking the life out of their team/organization. You’ll get that Jen too (that’s the candor).
A mom of two amazing adults who’ve made me proud beyond belief.
A podcast host (if you’re into podcasts…) Stop. Drop. & R.O.L.E. is another way I support leaders and teams.
An intentional, kind, candid professional that believes in true leadership and robust professional development. I geek out on the writings of Patrick Lencioni, Albert Tate, Brené Brown, Markus Buckingham, Craig Groeschel, and often binge on Gallup research.
An aspiring author. My first book is in the works, set for publication spring, 2026.
A Global Leadership Summit (GLS) junkie. It’s the only summit I’ve committed to for the past 9 years since discovering it. A professional goal is to one day speak there.
A real person. I think I’m funnier than my kids do, I enjoy the front range in Colorado Springs in my Jeep (no ducks), and I put my heels (or boots) on one foot at a time just like everyone else.
